CLIM-LOCAL2020 is a joint project between the Municipality of Volos, the Municipal Enterprise for Water Supply and Sewage Treatment of the greater Volos Area (DEYAMV), the Volos Municipal Enterprise for Urban Studies, Construction and Development (DEMEKAV) and EPEM SA. The project location is at Volos, Greece. It has launched in January 2009 and will last three years.
In brief, the anticipated results of the project include:
- Appropriate tools to substantially reduce GHG emissions at local level
- Monitoring and assessment activities related to GHG emissions reduction at local level
- Awareness, training and dissemination of information on climate change and its mitigation
- Initiation of GHG emission reductions at local level (Municipality of Volos) within a 10-15 years horizon with the active participation of citizens

Herewith, we would like to announce you the opening of the public consultation on the Local Action Plan for climate change mitigation we prepared for Volos city, Greece. The draft LAP has been released on the forum of the Clim-Local2020 website. A dedicated open conference will be held at the Municipality of Volos premises on Friday, 12th of March 2010.
